In the fall of 2010, Landmark won a job offered by the District of Sicamous, to remove and replace the wooden bridge deck on the Sicamous-Solsqua Eagle River crossing near Sicamous, BC.  The 8×64 meter cross-ties, deck and railing was removed in sections and replaced in progression with new material.  To minimize the impact to the public, crews were scheduled to allow work to continue 24 hours a day for 14 days.  The project was completed ahead of schedule.

Landmark’s project highlights included:

  • Timely and progressive methodology to remove and replace the bridge deck efficiently, while protecting habitat values beneath the bridge;
  • Providing controlled pedestrian access throughout the project;
  • Completing the project safely, on time, and on budget.
