Northern BCLandmark was retained by Imperial Metals Inc. to provide project management and construction supervision of the Red Chris Mine Access Road located south of Dease Lake in northwest BC. This project involved all phases of project management including identifying the equipment required, coordinating multiple contractors, monitoring payroll and costs, and providing construction supervision. Seventeen kilometers of road was constructed over a four month period. This multi-million dollar project involved First Nations, over thirty personnel, and fourteen pieces of heavy equipment.
Landmark’s project highlights include:
- Installation of 2 GRS mini-arches in gullies with very deep fills
- Early recognition of terrain stability issues and provision of timely solutions to overcome them, keeping the project on time.
