The objective of this project was to reconstruct access where the existing road was being undercut and eroded by an adjacent stream.  Due to environmental reasons, a cut slope GRS retaining wall was preferred over a GRS fill slope retaining wall.  This method allowed the road to be widened by cutting further into an over steepened cut bank.  Armouring was installed on the fill slope to prevent further erosion.  An additional 1.5 meters road width was constructed, allowing the road to be used for resource extraction.  Landmark provided project management, as well as all materials and equipment (with the exception of heavy machinery), and all labour required to complete this project. The project was completed in 4 days.
