Landmark was contracted by the City of Grand Forks as part of their ongoing Flood Mitigation Program to protect an industrial area in the SE of the city. The project included a new 650 lineal meter aggregate dike that incorporated 850 interlocking precast blocks, 150 lineal meter sheet pile dike wall, and upgrades to the storm systems and the sanitary effluent outfall system. The Trans Canada Trail, which runs through the city was upgraded and new fencing and gates were installed along the entire alignment of the new dike. Erosion protection adjacent to the new dike along the Kettle River was installed using over 10,000 tonnes of various classes of rock and riprap.
