This project involved the removal and replacement of a 4.5m timber trestle on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, south of Chute Lake with a 10.12m steel girder superstructure with concrete deck on lock block abutments and concrete construction pad. The existing timber trestle bridge was temporarily over spanned with a 15.2m All-SteelPortable (ASP) structure for the duration of the project to facilitate industrial traffic to the work site. Service required the loading and transporting of the new bridge material from an MoF yard in Carnbrook and loading and transporting of the temp bridge from the MoF yard in Clearwater.
