The existing round culvert at this location was identified as a barrier to fish passage due to the scour created at its outlet, a result of increased water velocity in the round culvert. Landmark was retained to replace this culvert with a GRS supported arch. This structure was chosen as it allowed the owner to keep the road double laned without going to the high cost of a double lane bridge or the safety factors associated with a single lane bridge. Landmark provided project management, as well as site survey, design, all materials and equipment (with the exception of heavy machinery), and all labour required to complete this project. The project was completed in 8 days.
